• Thank you for considering SoFLo Guitars for your musical education. Our experienced management has been involved with 2500 students and conducted over 50,000 music lessons. We feel we offer the most professional and comfortable approach to musical instruction in South Florida. We teach beginner, intermediate and advanced lessons on Guitar, Bass, Piano-Keyboard, Ukulele, Accordion, and Voice-Vocal. Many styles are taught, including: classical, jazz, pop, country, ska, blues, classic rock, hard rock and heavy metal.

• We offer private, one-on-one, hour long lessons. This personal attention gives the student the chance to develop skills at their own pace while we focus on their individual musical needs. Hour long lessons give us the time to provide the student with an effective and thorough lesson. We do not offer 30 minute or group lessons. 30 minute lessons only generate 15 to 20 minutes of actual instruction, at best.

• Each lesson consists of two parts. In the first half hour we teach music theory. This includes notes, chords, scales, and reading tablature or standard music notation. The second half hour is a jam session with the teacher. We will teach the student any song they want to learn or songs we feel they can pickup rapidly to give them a sense of accomplishment. Students are encouraged to bring in their own iPod, CD’s or songbooks to learn from. Only full hour private instruction can give the student both the theory they need and the songs they like.

• Instead of books, we use numerous computer software programs to teach students music theory & songs. It is not required that you purchase the software. However, it is recommended to practice at home using the software to accelerate the learning process. If you wish to buy any of the software, we offer a 20% discount to active students. We can send the student home with printed practice assignments if you are not interested in purchasing the software. Method books that other companies and teachers require cost $50 per year. Our computer software is the same price and gives the student 24/7 access to a multimedia experience no book can match. The student will also practice more often with the software at home.

• We have multiple lesson rooms that are outfitted with computers, amplifiers, speakers and internet access. The resources we combine in our store cannot be matched by other companies, especially ones that teach in your home. The quality of the lesson and the ability for the student to focus effectively is important. Walking into a guitar shop to take a lesson also gets the student more exited and inspired with the instrument.

• $159 will get you started with four weeks of private lessons in our store. These one hour lessons will be scheduled at the same time and day each week. We teach five days a week. After the initial four lessons, you may sign up for more lessons with any teacher on our staff. Regularly scheduled weekly lessons are as low as $40 each for a full hour. Single or random lessons are $50 per hour.

• Up to ten teachers are available and have the ability to teach 250 students weekly. Our lesson schedules are: Monday thru Thursday 3-8 / Saturday 10-6.
